We’re looking for: WES PTA Grade Liaisons

The PTA Executive Board is hoping to extend its reach into the WES community with the addition of Grade Liaisons.

• The role of the Grade Liaisons is to help share information and receive feedback from the parents in your child’s grade.

• Grade Liaisons should join the parent-led closed Facebook groups to share information from the PTA as needed as well as manage communications in MemberHub (WES’s membership platform).

• They should be open and available to sharing feedback from the parents without trying to solve individual concerns. The Grade Liaisons are simply facilitators.

We are stronger together but recognize it is hard for some families to attend the PTA meetings. Ideally, this role will help us identify more activities that meet the needs of the students (eg. playdates, service projects, etc.) and provide additional opportunities for people to volunteer while building a strong community both at the grade level and school level.

Grade Liaisons will serve one year and are asked to attend the 2-3 General PTA meetings (October 3, February 6 and May 1).

Depending on the response, the PTA will randomly select the Grade Liaison from a hat. All Grade Liaisons are asked to meet with the PTA Executive Board on Monday, September 12 at 7:30pm to further refine the role and discuss our goals for the year. Please consider this opportunity to support WES.
