WES Green School Clean-Up Day
Saturday, October 1 @9am
In preparation for the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new building addition to be held on October 18, let’s show our WES pride by putting our best grounds forward!
We need help weeding and cleaning up the Pollinator Garden and outdoor classroom space in front of the school. We also need volunteers to walk the grounds around the school to pick up litter, and to pull weeds from the garden beds along the front of the school.
We will meet in the front parking lot; please bring gloves and your preferred garden tools. We will provide yard waste bags, trash bags, and mulch.
The pollinator garden was cultivated by WES in 2014 to provide native host plants, shelter, and nectar sources for native insects and birds, supporting the entire life cycle of bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects.
If you would like to volunteer, please submit your name and e-mail address so you can receive updates
